Seeking information on Ziba Rundle/Randle and his family.
He was in Orange County, New York in the 1799 tax assessments for New York.
In the 1800 - 1803 tax assessments he was in Oswego, Tioga County, New York.
In the 1810 census he was living in Spencer, Tioga County.
Shortly after that he moved to Pickaway County, Ohio where he died in 1815.
His given name has also been listed as Zieby. He was married to Margaret Writer in Orange County, but four, possibly five of their children where born in Tioga County.
Ziba also had siblings that moved to Tioga County. Brother Elnathan Rundle was living in Danby, Tioga (later Tompkins) County in 1820 and was still in Danby as late as 1832. Elnathan's known children were Hiram, Nicolas and Abraham but there were at least 8 children.
Sister Rebecca, wife of John Manning was also living in Spencer, Tioga County in the 1810 census.
I am curious as to what churches were in the area during that time frame in hopes I can check records for baptisms.
I appreciate any information and will gladly share mine.
Thanks for stopping by!
