Lewis Henry Woodard of Moravia, formerly of Richford:
Lewis Henry Woodard, of Moravia, formerly of Richford, died January 28, 1941, at his home in Moravia.
Mr. Woodard had been ill since last spring, having suffered from a stroke and about two weeks ago had a second stroke.
Mr. Woodard was the son of the late Elijah and Margaret Jenkins Woodard and was born in Richford on December 22, 1880, where most of his life has been spent, but the past 20 years has lived in Moravia, where he was retired as a section foreman.
He was one of twelve children, five boys and seven girls.
Those who survive him are Wallace and Gilbert Woodard and Mrs. Grace Polley, of Richford; Mr. Clemant Arnold, of Rochester; Mrs. Henry Payne of Berkshire; Mr. Raymond Watkins, of Speedsville, and Mrs. George Clark, of Virginia; beside his wife Mrs. Hettie Roat Woodard; two stepsons, Floyd and Paul Williamson and several cousins.
Funeral services for him were held at the home in Moravia on Friday, January 31. The Rev. Mr. Bell in charge. The remains were placed in the vault at Moravia until spring when burial will be made in Berkshire evergreen Cemetery.
