Beverly A. (Lattimer) King, 72, of 525 Stevenson St., Sayre, Pa., went to meet her Lord suddenly on Sept. 25, 2008 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.

Beverly was born on May 7, 1936 in Sayre, the daughter of the late Louis and Margaret Lattimer.

Beverly was a much loved wife and mother. She was a member of the PTA New York State board for many years, a Girl Scout leader for 20 plus years as troop leader, a day camp director in the Rochester, N.Y., area, Boy Scout institution representative for Christ View Methodist Church in Henrietta, N.Y., for eight years, she was active and organized the United Methodist Church Women of the Valley, active and in the Reunion Committee of the Sayre High School Class of 1954, was past president of the Monday Club, AARP driver safety instructor and telephone coordinator, served as chaplain for AARP chapter for Bradford and Sullivan counties and for the Athens Senior Citizens, was an active volunteer for the Sayre Senior Center, Director of the Candy Stripers at Amsterdam Hospital, and was a member of the Athens United Methodist Church.

Beverly is survived by: her loving, grade school sweetheart and devoted husband, Thomas KING, who were married for 51 years; loving children Michael T. (Robin) King of Caledonia, N.Y., Christopher A. (Natalie) King of Big Flats, N.Y., and David P. King of Waverly, N.Y.; grandchildren Christopher King Jr. of Los Angles Calif., Michael King Jr. of Caledonia, Brian King of Caledonia, Matthew King of Big Flats, N.Y., Marie King attending R.I.T. in Rochester, N.Y., and Jonathon King of Big Flats; brothers and sisters Marlene Enlow of Sayre, Janice MCNEIL of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jack (Beverly) LATTIMER of Wilawanna, Pa.

Beverly is predeceased by her parents and brothers Paul and Richard Lattimer.

A celebration of Beverly's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at the Athens United Methodist Church with Pastor Martin BOVEE officiating.

Calling hours will be held from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will be held in Glenwood Cemetery, Waverly, N.Y. Memorial contributions in Beverly's name may be sent to; Ellen Rutty at the Sayre Senior Center, 208 Desmond St., Sayre, Pa. 18840.
