DEATH OF EDWARD SNAPP

The funeral of Edward Snapp was held at his home on Main Street, on Sunday afternoon and was largely attended.

Mr. Snapp died at this home on Friday morning, Aug. 5. He had been in failing health from heart disease for some time but only confined to his bed for three days.

He was the son of George Snapp and was born at East Newark on Apr. 10, 1859. He grew to manhood on the farm where he was born and later owned the farm, conducting it until about eight years ago, when he sold it and moved to this village. He was married, in 1884, to Etta Zimmer of this town, who, with one son, LeRoy, of Binghamton, survives him. He was a man respected by all who knew him and for many years active in the affairs of the M.E. Church.

He leaves three brothers and two sisters, George and Henry Snapp of this town, Frank Snapp of Endicott, Mrs. Mary Chrysler of Endicott, and Mrs. Elber Chrysler of Union.
